Né à Sydney, Shaun Gladwell travaille sur les thématiques de la mémoire, des histoires personnelles et de la culture contemporaine avec une approche compréhensive de l’histoire culturelle. Utilisant sur différents supports – vidéos, peinture, sculpture et performance – il produit aussi bien des auto-portraits que des enquêtes sur la relation des athlètes à l’environnement urbain. Les vidéos de Shaun Gladwell évoquent des idées et des associations complexes, créant de nouvelles perceptions, trouvant de nouvelles solutions créatives pour le changement climatique et ses conséquences. Il participe au projet Climate Change Hip-Hop Opera du collectif MELD et il a été finaliste du prix COAL Art et Environnement 2015.

Born in Sydney, Shaun Gladwell works on the themes of memory, personal stories and contemporary culture with a very comprehensive approach to cultural history. Using different media – video , painting, sculpture and performance – its action is in the self -portrait that represents the practicing extreme sports in investigations of athletes and their relationship to the urban environment. The videos of Shaun Gladwell evoke complex ideas and associations, in which he notably studied the human body in motion. He takes part to the Climate Change Hip-Hop Opera project of the group MELD and he was finalist of the COAL Prize Art and Environment 2015.
